Statement of Purpose

The sole purpose of the Inland Empire Hospital and Institution Committee is to “carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous” to those who are confined and cannot attend outside A.A. meetings. The Committee is organized under the 5th and 9th Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and operated under all 12 Traditions of AA in all of its affairs. Meetings are held at the invitation of the institution administrators, ever mindful of “cooperation not affiliation.” The Committee is not a part, but rather an addition to the existing services of Alcoholics Anonymous.
